چکیده

The problem in active noise control in a linear duct is examined. Essentially, a nonlinear inverse to a nonminimum phase actuator is proposed. The nonlinear inverse exploits the non-Gaussian nature of some chaotic and stochastic noise sources. The architecture of the controller is derived using Bayesian estimation theory and is shown to be a combination of a linear adaptive network and a radial basis function (RBF) or Volterra series (VS) network. Because of the nonlinear nature of the controller, the ltered-x least means square (LMS) architecture cannot be used. Hence a modi ed active noise controller is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate the improvements in performance achievable with the combined linear and nonlinear controller.

Active Vibration Suppression of a Nonlinear Flexible Spacecraft

In this article, the issue of attitude control and active vibration suppression of a nonlinear flexible spacecraft is assessed through piezoelectric patches as actuator and sensors. Two controller loops are applied: the inner loop, to make the panel vibration damped through piezoelectric patches; and the outer loop, to perform spacecraft maneuver using the reaction wheel acting on the hub. An o...

Duct Modeling Using the Generalized RBF Neural Network for Active Cancellation of Variable Frequency Narrow Band Noise

We have shown that duct modeling using the generalized RBF neural network (DM RBF), which has the capability of modeling the nonlinear behavior, can suppress a variable-frequency narrow band noise of a duct more efficiently than an FX-LMS algorithm. In our method (DM RBF), at first the duct is identified using a generalized RBF network, after that N stage of time delay of the input signal to th...

Active Noise Control in a Duct With Flow

Active noise control in a one dimensional acoustic duct, in which fluid medium inside the duct has a mean flow velocity, is studied. The acoustic duct model with general boundary conditions is solved in Laplace domain and infinite dimensional system transfer functions are obtained. For controller designs, appropriate microphone, and noise canceling source locations are determined. Low order fin...
